What Our Brides Say About Us
“Dear Debbie, We just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. The venue looked absolutely incredible and we were so happy with the way that you created something that was perfect for our theme. The bunting looked wonderful and the overall effect was stunning. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into sourcing each of the individual components. Thank you once again for all your commitment and professionalism. We have loved working with you and would definitely recommend your services to other couples in the future.” Phil and Jo (Mr and Mrs Broadey), Commissioners House, 12th April 2014
“We have just arrived back from honeymoon and wanted to say a HUGE thank you for decorating our wedding venue. The room looked absolutely stunning and we were both speechless at how beautiful you made it look. All our guests commented on it too and we have of course highly recommended you!” Nikki & Louie Scott, Cooling Castle, Kent, 4th August 2013
“We just wanted to write you a note to say thank you so much for setting up 100 chair covers and sashes so beautifully. They were obviously set up with a lot of care and attention to detail, creating the perfect look for our Daughter’s Wedding party. Thank you also for the comprehensive communication leading up to this event and for all your assistance with this booking. We would not hesitate to recommend your services to other potential customers looking for those perfect finishing touches. Thanks once again.” Terina & Tony White, The Plough at Leigh, Hildenborough, Kent, 7th July 2012

My Top Tips For Brides
I have found that whatever theme or colour scheme that you choose to do from vintage to Cadbury purple (which never goes out of fashion) all venues can look truly amazing. It’s possible to get the most amazing looks, even with a smaller budget. Remember that with a little bit of professional help and thought most things are possible.
My advice to couples and brides is to shop around well before you decide who to use to help you with your venue styling. Always make sure that you have a “like for like” price comparison from each company. Remember it is not always about price, you have to like and trust the person that you choose. Packages also contain different value including how well turned out your chair covers will be. At the end of the day it is your big day so it should be how you like it to be.
About My Area
Having worked as a stylist at venues in the Kent area for over 5 years, I am fairly familiar with most of them. As with anything, there are pros and cons, and you need to find out what means the most to you. You will never find a venue that has it all, it is about compromise. I have barns that look truly amazing, having weddings each day you would think it was not possible to change this setting between one to the next. I can tell you each wedding is totally different and as magical as the next. There are family run hotels that offer budget prices, is their service a budget style? I can assure you not, they are as good as the most expensive. Perhaps you would like to transform a village hall, with the help of a star curtain, some chair covers, nice crisp white linen and an array of flowers this can be done at a fraction of the cost of a five star venue and will look just as wonderful in your photos. A Little Bit About Me
I live in Gillingham and I’ve been an Ambience wedding decorator for over 5 years now. I have always worked directly with the public. I enjoy meeting people. To me the best thing that I can get from running this business is the thank you letters at the end from happy brides. If I can make their day what they want it to be I am happy. One of the things that I love about having my own business is the flexibility that it offers. No two days are the same I have set up many events and weddings over the past four years, each one special in its own way. I have 2 grown up children and 2 grand-children. I run this business as a family one. There are many different reasons why people want a venue to look special. I had a call one day from the Hilton Hotel in Maidstone asking me if I could set up just six covers and sashes for an intimate dinner that they had that week. When asking what it was for, I was told a proposal. That’s why I love my job. The events that I work on are usually something that is going to build a lifelong memory of happiness. One of my favourite weddings that I have ever done was just last year. It was a civil partnership and the theme was the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The couple were married at Hall Place, after which the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party occurred before the evening reception. I worked with them for the whole day, it was such fun. Afterwards they wrote to me to tell me that I had ‘got’ their theme exactly and they were very happy with the results.
