With this becoming a rapidly changing issue we have created this specific section on our website where we aim to provide the latest information on how it may affect your bookings and events. Please be sure to check back regularly as we will be updating this page frequently.
What will will happen to my summer 2020 booking?
The latest Government announcement made on 10th May 2020 followed by guidelines released on the 11th May 2020 has confirmed that small ceremonies could start to take place in England from 1st June 2020.
The next phase would indicate that from the 4th July 2020, some areas of hospitality could be reopened. In doing so venues would need to be able to adhere to the strict social distancing measures so it would be worth bearing in mind that even if weddings can go ahead, guest numbers are highly likely to be restricted. We are regularly assessing developments and will keep you informed but at this stage it is still too early to tell how it will effect bookings in August and September.
At present, Scotland is currently still in lockdown and we are yet to receive further information
We would strongly advise checking the website of your local authorities for more information on postponing if you are at all concerned.
Is my booking at risk if it takes place within the next 12 weeks (up to mid June)?
As this is a rapidly escalating problem, we are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will continue to adhere to all advice provided by the WHO and local authorities. Our priority is to keep all of our stylists and clients safe and we will continue to do our utmost to fulfil all bookings. If the situation changes your stylist will contact you directly about your upcoming booking in order to provide the most up to date information.
In the event that your booking has to be postponed due to Government advice then please rest assured that we will do our very best to reschedule your booking to a date that suits both yourself and the venue and we can provide a list of available dates upon request.
What happens if you have to postpone your wedding due to contracting the virus yourself, guests not being able to travel or you have to self isolate?
Rest assured that we will do our very best to reschedule your booking to a date that suits both yourself and the venue and we can provide a list of available dates upon request. We would look to reschedule this for a date prior to and including March 31st 2021 at this stage.
What happens if your stylist contracts the virus, comes into contact with someone with the virus or shows symptoms of the virus and your wedding is within two weeks of this happening?
Under the recent guidelines from the Government, your stylist will be advised to self isolate with immediate effect in the interests of public safety. We appreciate that this will be very upsetting/concerning news for you but please rest assured that your stylist will try their very best to find someone who can assist on the day or at least provide the stock to you. These are exceptional circumstances and in the event that your stylist is unable to provide a solution you will be entitled to a full refund minus your original deposit.
What happens if the local authorities lockdown your local area, lockdown the country or your venue must be closed?
We appreciate that this will be very upsetting but we are under strict Government guidelines to follow protocol and it is within the best interests of yourself and your guests as well as our stylists and the general public.
Please rest assured that we will do our very best to reschedule your booking to a date that suits both yourself and the venue and we can provide a list of available dates upon request. We would look to reschedule this for a date prior to and including March 31st 2021 at this stage.
I need to postpone my date but I’m unable to confirm a new date with my registrar whilst in lockdown
Please note that due to the current pandemic, all ceremonies are suspended with immediate effect and the situation will be reviewed by the government in the coming weeks.
We advise all clients who are concerned about their upcoming wedding to check the website of their local authorities for the most up to date information regarding their registrar booking. It is our understanding that existing bookings that are postponed will be given priority to reschedule once booking systems resume service again, however this may differ between towns and cities.
