Elegant Dining – Luxury Tablescape Styling
Weddings are officially back and it’s all about elegant dining! Luxury tablescapes are hotter than ever right now with many engaged couples looking to incorporate this creative table styling into their venue decor. Utilising a range of accessories, florals and candlelight, tablescapes offer a sociable yet impactful feel and today we’re showing you images from behind the scenes of Jen & Liam’s opulent summer wedding at Rudding Park, North Yorkshire.
Ideas & Inspiration
Jen & Liam first fell in love with an intimate wedding styled last summer between lockdowns by Ambience Venue Styling Harrogate and this was where they took a lot of their inspiration from. They knew they wanted to adopt a similar style for their own special day and looked to scale up the design, hoping for a wedding with little to no restrictions. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case and they were hit with the new guidelines where weddings were limited to 30 people. So, after lots of discussion it was decided that using one large banquet table to seat all of their nearest and dearest around would be the most effective approach and the results were nothing short of spectacular!
A timeless colour palette
Using a timeless, neutral colour palette, Lydia from Ambience Harrogate collaborated with fellow industry experts to coordinate this seamless look. Layering earthy tones within the linen and candlelight, Lydia then introduced muted gold accents to enhance and highlight the table decor.
Feature decor
Styling out the fireplace with candlelight and florals offered continuity and made a feature of the mantlepiece by introducing details at eye level.
No wedding reception is complete without the cake, even when it’s an intimate wedding! Poppy Pickering designed this stunning wedding cake with handmade, iced flowers that coordinated with the blooms used in the table decor.
On the day
Lydia said “The challenges of creating this look meant steaming table cloths for a 24ft table in 25 degree heat but I knew the final outcome would be so worth it! We teamed up with Whitehouse Crockery for the cutlery, charger plates and glassware and Mrs Bouquets for the floral arrangements. The table couldn’t have looked any more glamorous and sophisticated. It oozed elegance and the colours suited The Drawing Room at Rudding Park perfectly. It’s so important to me that each and every item has it’s place and seeing all of the details come together on the day was just fantastic. Couples have waited for so long to get married so there’s this real sense of emotion and sentiment surrounding weddings at the moment and therefore it’s even more crucial that we get it right!”
“6 weeks on and Jen and I are still in contact and I currently have some of the beautiful flowers they gifted me under press to put up in my new unit.”
