We all need something to brighten up the winter months and so if you’ve planned a winter wedding day, then congratulations.
There are so many advantages to having a wedding day in winter and so many ways our stylists at Ambience Venue Styling can help you plan it.
Here’s a few advantages to getting married in winter:
One of our recent beautifully styled weddings had an ‘Arctic’ theme. The stylist used draping and featured starlight backdrops behind the top table and where the couple said their vows. As you can see from the images here, the venue looked quite dazzling. Lanterns were placed along the aisle to add some winter cosiness. In fact, despite the theme being ‘Arctic’, the atmosphere was anything but, it was warm, welcoming and inviting!
If this is the kind of thing you’d like to recreate for your winter wedding, then get in touch with one of our stylists today for a chat.
A Christmas wedding gives you the opportunity to have some real fun with your wedding favours, and this is also something our stylists could help you with.
This festive time of year also gives you the opportunity to embrace rich shades and luxurious textures. Think of deep reds, dark purples, forest greens. If you’re marrying near Christmas then a festive tree in the reception hall is a must.
Dazzle with gold accessories on your wedding table and contrast with claret coloured glasses. One of the benefits of using our stylists is that they have all the props you’ll need to get the look you want. You won’t have to spend time and money sourcing your own – just sit down with them, have a chat about what you’re after and how you’d like things to look and then leave it up to them to work their magic!
Our wedding stylists have masses of experience and it’s always worth chatting to them about your other wedding plans too. If you’re having a Christmas wedding theme, then what about the colours of your bridesmaid dresses? Maybe dress them in reds, golds or silver? Winter weddings are really at their best when they are held late on in the day (remember you can get married in England up to 6pm). Have the ceremony late afternoon and then have an evening party.
Use lanterns outside your venue to provide a cosy glow on arrival and serve mulled wine or hot chocolate to warm chilled hands.
It’s always good to have a chill-out area at a wedding too. Not everyone will want to dance, many people want to catch up and chat at a wedding and it’s hard to do that against the noise of a band or disco. So have an area at your venue that people can go to – and in winter if there’s a roaring log fire there then so much the better. That’s where you can serve wedding cake, tea, coffee and let everyone gossip to their heart’s content. It’s also an area that your stylist will decorate for winter too if needed.
If you’re planning a winter wedding then pick up the phone and get in touch with your local Ambience stylist today. You’re under no obligation to take things further but they will have some fabulous ideas and you’ll certainly have a good chat!
