Here’s a beautiful real wedding created by our York-based stylist. The bride and groom wanted a Moroccan theme and as you can see from the images here, that’s exactly what happened.
Dreamy and romantic! The aspects that really come through in the wedding styling are the muted soft colours and the use of roses throughout.
So let’s take a look…

Each aisle chair was tied to the side with a single red rose
Roses
Most of the world’s perfumes are made from roses which are grown in Morocco so having a theme that featured roses was really a given, particularly as roses and weddings really go hand in hand.
Our stylist tucked a single red rose into the aisle chairs at the ceremony – which provided simple but perfect decoration, beautifully offset by the hessian. A classic look but so pretty and romantic.
Six hours drive south of Marrakesh in Morocco, travellers will find the “Valley of Roses” which is as beautiful as it sounds and every year there is a famous rose festival there.

Table centrepieces were simple bunches of scented roses
The colours in this wedding were perfect, shades of oranges, purples, pinks and the photographer gave the wedding images a wonderfully dreamy feel by adding a coloured filter, which enhanced the effect.

Wedding favours perfectly match the theme
The Moroccan theme is a wonderful idea for a wedding as you can see. Roses are inherently romantic, smell wonderful, are available all year round and come in a variety of colours and go perfectly with this theme.

It’s all in the detail
The Moroccan wedding theme that this couple requested has so much potential. Should you decide to do the same, it might be the perfect opportunity to consider room draping to turn the interior of your venue into a romantic marquee style from the Arabian nights. It also would work well if you were marrying in the summer – your marquee or venue could have kelim rugs on the floor, low seating and Moroccan lanterns.

Lanterns light the way, with rose petals sprinkled alongside
One of the ways our stylists really help the bride and groom is by sourcing props to use to achieve the right wedding look.

The wedding place settings
Lanterns and lighting were a look of the day with silver metallic lanterns in abundance matched up with the hessian chair tie-backs.

Moroccan-style table setting
If you’ve had a romantic holiday together or are planning a honeymoon somewhere that means a lot to you, then you should discuss with one of our stylists how you can build the location into your wedding theme. They are endlessly creative and will have plenty of ideas to put forward. Things like naming the tables, using photography taken on a trip, ideas for dressing the room up…
Getting in touch with one of our stylists and having a chat doesn’t hold you to anything. But using a stylist will certainly save you time, worry and may well cost you less, as you won’t have to buy any of the styling props you’re going to need to get your wedding day look absolutely right.
So why not contact us today, we’ll have a stylist local to you.

A happy bride and groom
