Spring Wedding Styling Ideas: Sorbet Pastels & Romantic Decor
March 24, 2026
As the clocks move forward and the first signs of spring begin to appear, there’s an unmistakable sense of excitement in the air at Ambience Venue Styling UK. A new wedding season is upon us – one filled with beautifully creative, personalised and atmospheric celebrations. To mark the beginning of the season of colour, we’re delighted to share a fresh, romantic design concept that perfectly captures the essence of spring and summer weddings in 2026/27.
Sorbet Pastel Wedding Styling
Designed and styled by the talented Hayley, owner of Ambience Leeds, Halifax and the Dales, this concept embraces one of the most talked about trends for the season: sorbet pastel wedding styling. Featuring a palette of buttery yellow, powder blue, blush pink and soft accents of muted peach, the look feels uplifting, calming and effortlessly elegant – ideal for couples planning a spring or summer wedding.
Sorbet pastel wedding colours are set to define spring and summer weddings in 2026 and beyond, offering a fresh, fashion-led take on traditional pastels. Rather than overly sweet or predictable palettes, we’re seeing a more elevated interpretation – where tones are softly layered to create something that feels both modern and timeless. Inspired by nature and contemporary bridal styling, these hues bring a sense of serenity and understated luxury to a space. When used across linens, florals, stationery and styling details, they create a beautifully cohesive aesthetic that feels immersive without overwhelming – the perfect balance of softness and impact for the season.
How to Create a Soft, Romantic Wedding Aesthetic
Set within the contemporary surroundings of the Woodlands Hotel in Leeds, the space provided the perfect blank canvas. Flooded with natural light from it’s stunning windows, the room allowed the soft pastel tones to effortlessly come to life. Light danced across clear glassware and delicate details, creating a magical, airy atmosphere that felt both modern and romantic.
Floral Pedestals: A Versatile Styling Feature for Modern Weddings
Hayley thoughtfully designed the concept to flow seamlessly from wedding ceremony through to wedding breakfast, demonstrating how ceremony flowers and styling can be repurposed to create a cohesive and considered design. Pedestals at varying heights, topped with low bowls of fragrant seasonal florals, framed the ceremony beautifully – and later transitioned seamlessly into table decor. It’s a perfect example of how working closely with your stylist can elevate both the look and practicality of your wedding day.
Personalised Wedding Styling Details
Personalisation also played a key role within this design, adding both meaning and softness to the overall aesthetic. From bespoke fabric signage, thoughtfully designed to reflect each couple’s unique story – through to delicate pew end chair bows, every detail was carefully selected to enhance the space without overwhelming it. These subtle yet meaningful touches are becoming increasingly popular, as couples look to create a wedding that feels uniquely their own.The bows, in particular, offered a subtle way to define the aisle, bringing a sense of occasion and gentle structure to the ceremony setting. They work especially well for couples who want to frame the aisle while allowing larger styling moments, such as floral installations or statement backdrops, to remain the focal point.
Romantic Serpentine Tablescapes for Intimate Weddings
Following the ceremony, the space was transformed with a striking serpentine table layout – a wonderfully romantic choice, particularly for more intimate weddings. The soft curves create flow and connection, drawing guests into the setting. Layered with soft draping, low level florals and coloured taper candles, the tablescape embraced texture, movement and softness. By ensuring that the styling, florals and accessories all worked in harmony, the overall design felt seamless, creating a setting that also told a love story.
