Let’s talk chair decor! It’s one of the things that we never really think about until it comes to getting married. A chair is a chair right? Wrong! There’s actually a few things to consider when it comes to your chair decor so we thought we’d help you with some tips and advice as well as throwing in a little inspiration along the way!
If you’ve been to a wedding or you’ve ever sat and watched a chick flick then there’s no doubt you’ll have seen the mass of iconic white chair covers that awaits the wedding guests. Chair covers are a great way of covering unsightly banquet chairs and are quite often a necessity if your venue or budget doesn’t allow for hiring in chairs such as the popular Chiavari style, Cheltenham chairs or the luxury Louis chair.
Your Ambience stylist will check exactly what size banquet chair your chosen venue has in order to ensure that the chair covers used will be the perfect fit. We’ve all seen the chair covers that are too short at the back and have the legs poking out or when the seat of the chair cover is so loose that it hangs down at the front. Don’t worry, you can push those fears aside as we’ll ensure each chair cover is delivered freshly laundered and pressed and made to fit the chair perfectly! Perhaps you would prefer the stretch lycra chair covers? An alternative if you would prefer these over the traditional cotton ones.
On the other hand, if your venue provides Chiavari chairs then you’ve most likely been spending your evenings flicking through Instagram and Pinterest looking for ideas to style them. There’s lots of options to dress these chairs and soften the look of the room.
There’s the ever popular chiffon drape which is provided in a number of colours and can be accessorised with perhaps a stunning fresh flower head, an elegant brooch detail or a delicate ribbon tie just to name a few!
If you’re looking to simply further define the aisle then why not just style the aisle chairs with a side tie or accenting colour. Another very choice for 2020 is the crosshatch chiffon weave which is a very elegant, opulent finish for your chair decor.
Looking to create those Insta worthy wedding pictures? Then how about personalising your Bride and Groom chairs with fresh stunning floral details or “Bride and Groom” signage.
