A contrast between natural and polished
Mihaela said “When thinking about the location for this shoot, Symondsbury Tithe Barn had me at hello. With it’s beautiful stone walls and exposed beams, it offered the perfect rustic backdrop for the colourful, romantic vision I had in mind. I loved the idea of mixing soft, dreamy colours with the raw charm of this barn—it created a lovely contrast between natural and polished, which really brought the whole theme to life.”

The key ingredients
Décor
For the table setting, Mihaela used luxurious blush chiffon table runners as a soft, muted base for the tablescape. Coloured taper candles stood tall in and amongst the blousy table florals, adding contrast and delicate definition. Even the glassware and flatware was hand picked to ensure that the details worked seamlessly with the design featuring pastel toned glasses and gold cutlery – each element chosen to create a luxe but laid-back feel.
Florals
The floral installation suspended on framework above the table stole the show, with trailing delphiniums, roses, and fluffy greenery giving the illusion of a floating garden. On the table, a mix of bud vases held bold and delicate blooms in pinks, corals, and lilacs—bringing a whimsical feel to the setting.
Stationery
We layered gold, glass beaded charger plates with eye-catching, artistic menus that provided each place setting with a punch of colour and fun. Bow accessories were the finishing touch, offering a feminine softness to each.
Mihaela’s final word
When everything was in place and the vision came to life, it felt amazing! Seeing everyone’s reactions—the smiles, the gasps, the compliments—was the best reward. Oh and having the shoot picked up by the English Wedding Blog, that was the cherry on top of a very pretty cake!
