Top 7 wedding styling tips to transform your venue!

Feb 26, 2021

This week we’re sharing our top 7 wedding styling tips to help you transform your venue so if you’re planning your wedding decor, this one is for you!

Colour palette

Pick colours that work with the season, venue and feel of your styling. Base colours or complimenting shades combined with an accent colour like this stunning deep burgundy, instantly lifts and adds a warm rich feel throughout. Alternatively if colour isn’t your thing, a neutral colour palette will offer a timeless look and can be enhanced with foliage or dried flowers.

Tablescapes

These are top of the list when it comes to table decor in 2021/2022 and our Ambience stylists certainly know how to create a super stylish tablescape! An eclectic mix of candlelight, florals and accessories is guaranteed to deliver the wow factor, particularly on banquet tables. There’s lots of inspiration over on our IG page so get ready to hit that save icon!

Candlelight

Never underestimate the impact candlelight offers, it’s the ultimate tool when it comes to setting the mood of a room and has the power to literally transform a venue. Depending on the time of year you’re getting married and the time of day your ceremony will take place, you might want to consider going heavier with atmospheric candlelight or opting for big romantic florals with touches of candlelight.

Aisle runner

Draw the eye down the centre of the room with feature decor. An ivory or light coloured aisle runner is perfect for breaking up dark coloured carpets.

Definition

Add details to your aisle chairs in order to further define. For a subtle look try a simple flower stem tucked into your chair decor or to create a more statement finish consider a small floral arrangement or foliage arrangement to be attached to the side of your aisle chairs which will offer pops of colour or texture.

Need height?

Does your venue have high ceilings? Add height to your aisle decor by using pedestals to display your floral arrangements. This will bring your decor to head height and make your aisle feel more intimate. Positioning these either side of your registrar table will frame the spot you say “I do” and will offer a great backdrop for those all important “just married” shots! What’s even better is that they can then be used for your wedding reception afterwards – to frame an entrance, stand either side of your top table or simply use the floral arrangements as centrepieces.

Glassware

We love working with different types of glassware when it comes to styling. Clear glass is the master at the art of reflection so floating candles are a “must have” if elegant romance is your goal! Coloured glassware like the bud vases used here are also a great way at injecting colour and adding interest to your tables with ease.
