Wedding Planners Event – Thicket Priory
Oct 16, 2020
With just one week to go until the clocks go back, it’s certainly starting to feel like autumn is well and truly setting in. We love this time of year and the colourful season provides some amazing opportunities to get creative with colour palettes and textures. So when we were asked to work alongside the stunning Thicket Priory venue to style a luxurious dinner for their wedding planners event, we were only too pleased to take on the challenge!
Thicket Priory launched as a brand new exclusive use venue in North Yorkshire just last year. To welcome the venue to the industry they hosted an action packed overnight stay for some of the most amazing wedding planners in the UK, giving them the opportunity to experience exactly what Thicket Priory has to offer.
To create an atmospheric, on trend dining environment the guests would be dining on a long banquet table in the Ballroom but as the wedding planners would be encouraged to explore freely around spaces at the venue, we also looked at ways in which to enhance the walkways and staircases as well as entrances.
Dinner is served
For the table setting we created an opulent tablescape to extend the length of the full table using varying heights of accessories, candlelight and florals. We used a rich colour palette of burnt orange, deep burgundy and foliage to add warmth to the styling and incorporated miniature pumpkins and pine cone details all interspersed amongst ruscus. The place settings were then layered up with autumnal inspired menu cards featuring the 6 course menu lovingly prepared by Matthew Hyde from BabaGanoush Catering. The food was incredible!
Linen napkins in an elegant burgundy tone provided a contrast against the white table linen and brought the whole look together.
Finally, acrylic burgundy place names were used as a personal touch and as a keepsake for the guests.
Guests were welcomed to the event with a bespoke mirror featuring personalised signage and we worked alongside the lovely Kathrine from Fleuradamo Floral Design to style the staircases, walkways and fireplaces with pumpkins, candlelight, foliage and florals.
As Thicket Priory is not a hotel people have been unable to stay here before until now! Just last week the venue launched 4 weekends in which you can now book a room at the venue and enjoy a fantastic winter escape in 2020 so head over to their website and you could be the next to share the amazing experience of Thicket Priory!
