What colour palette to use for a September wedding?

For those of you planning a September wedding, you might be wondering what colour palette to use. September marks the transition from summer to autumn but for many getting married in this month, you perhaps feel the deep rich colours of autumn are too much, too soon – particularly if your date falls at the start of the month

If this resonates with you, consider embracing colour but opt for uplifting shades that still fit with the end of summer whilst also pulling through some of the peachy, orange undertones of autumn like here, where we used dusty blue, peach and varying shades of pink

A bespoke welcome with immersive signage!

Give your guests a taste of what’s to come with a welcome sign that offers a personal greeting to your guests…we love this dome arch design featuring bespoke artwork, further styled in keeping with the flow of the ceremony decor for a cohesive feel

Aisle decor that wows!

Hanging installations filled with mixed foliage and delicate pops of colour, introduced texture overhead, whilst gorgeous aisle meadows defined the walkway with elegant candlelight

Autumnal florals

Clear glass bud vases displaying simple stems of romantic florals such as quick sand roses, stocks, astilbe and lisianthus added balance to the design and featured in both the ceremony and wedding breakfast. September gives you access to lots of stunning seasonal florals and we’ll work with you to ensure that we select the best ingredients for your overall vision and desired aesthetic

Layering your tables

Long rustic, banquet tables were the perfect contrast to this colour palette, adding warmth and depth. We softened the exposed timber with champagne chiffon table runners and dusky pink linen napkins.

Top tip – If your caterer is using sharing platters that will be added to your banquet tables, consider opting for a tablescape design that allows you to intersperse your decor in and amongst the platters without getting in the way .

September bouquets

When it comes to your bouquets and buttonholes, September generally lends itself to textural arrangements with organic shape but there’s no rules here, speak with your stylist about creating a design that best complements your dress and bridal party as well as the theme of your decor. This beautiful bridal bouquet featured lots of unique and interesting stems that worked in harmony with the styling. Raw edged, chiffon ribbon was added to the arrangements in lengths that dropped gently for a romantic, contemporary finish
